Labupu township is located in the northeast of Nanmulin County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, bordering Redang, mangre, suojin, Rendui, Banga, Nimu and other counties and townships.

labupu township is located in the northeast of Nanmulin County, bordering Redang, mangre, suojin, Rendui, Banga County, Nimu County, etc. The township government is located in dongniang village, 68 kilometers away from the county seat, with a government building area of 661.4 square meters. The township has an area of 1915 square kilometers, 191 mu of cultivated land, 118485 mu of grassland, and a population of 268 households and 1828 people. "Labupu" means "the son of six gods" in Tibetan. The gaxia government of Tibet in the Qing Dynasty set up a suzerain government here, which was in charge of the government affairs, military affairs and civil affairs in this area. In 1960, the people's Government of Nanmulin County abolished labuzong and established Labu District People's government, which governs Redang Township, zongsha Township, gadian Township and pangdui township. In 1984, Labu Township People's government was established. In 1988, when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, the former Tuanjie Township and Labu Township were merged to form Labu township. In 2000, Labu Township governed five villagers' committees, namely, Pu village, Bai village, dongniang village, taiqiong village and Nie Na village. labupu township has an average altitude of 4200 meters, and the climate is relatively harsh. It is mainly engaged in animal husbandry, and the main breeding varieties are yak and sheep. In 2000, there were 27321 livestock in the township. The total rural economic income was 2337164 yuan, and the per capita net income was 996.2 yuan. In 2000, labupu Township had a township primary school with 130 students. The enrollment rate of school-age children was 38.16%.
