Tubujia Township

Tubujia Township, Nanmulin County, Xigaze City, Tibet is located in the south of Nanmulin county. It is surrounded by NUMA, Xigaze City, cha'er, Dana, Redang, suojin and other cities and townships. The township government is located in Magda village, 86 km away from the county seat. It covers an area of 462.89 square kilometers and has a population of 6687 (2017). "Tubujia" means "Desheng" in Tibetan. It used to be called "rutujia" and "tobujixi". The original name of tubuga district was "Fushan District". In 1961, it was renamed "tubuga district" from the former people's Government of Shigatse county. In 1962, it was transferred from the former Shigatse county to Nanmulin county and established tubuga district. In 1988, shanlie township was established, which is under the jurisdiction of Magda, gangga, Qulong and tubuga. In 2000, tubujia Township had 14 villagers' committees, including langbu, jiangmajian, magada, Baisha, gangga, Chana, dingbu, xiaxue, mengga, Gongxi, Xialu, Qilong, Lianzhu and Dongfu.
