There are two small high mountain lakes in Malutang. It is said that groups of red deer used to come here to drink, so it is called Malutang. Malutang township government is stationed in laojiezi village, 500 meters northwest of Malutang, 106 kilometers northwest of the county. It borders zeheixiang in the East, sayingpan town in the south, Jiaoxi Township in the west, Dasongshu Township in the north and Huidong County across the river.
