Xujiadian town is located in the north of Haiyang City, adjacent to Guocheng town in the East, facheng town in the south, Laiyang City in the West and Qixia City in the north. It covers an area of 154.7 square kilometers and has a population of 46800 (2009). It has jurisdiction over 71 administrative villages. Historical evolution

In 1735, it belonged to Linsi township of Haiyang county. In 1928, it belonged to facheng district. In April 1941, it belonged to the Sixth District of the Anti Japanese democratic government of Haiyang County, and the district office was located in Xujiadian village. In January 1943, the Sixth District was changed to Jingshan district. In December 1944, it belonged to Xujiadian District of Yaqian county (Jiaodong experimental county). On April 23, 1950, Yaqian county was abolished and assigned to Haiyang County, which belongs to the 16th district and is located in Xujiadian village. The origin of place names

The old name of lanjiadian was an express shop leading to Ninghai post station, which was destroyed by the war. In the third year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1405), the surname Xu moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to build a village here to open a shop, so it was named Xujiadian.

Fruit economy

Xujiadian Town, located in the northern mountainous area of Haiyang City, is a big fruit production town.
