Minzhu street, belonging to Changyi District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the north of Changyi District, in front of Jilin Railway Station. It borders Lianhua street in the north, Zhanqian street in the south, Hadawan Industrial Development Zone in the west, central street in the East, Zhanqian street in the south, Jilin Street in the West and Lianhua street in the north, with a total area of 1.85 square kilometers.

In 1948, it belonged to Chaoyang District. In March 1962, it was changed from Minzhu Road branch to Minzhu road street. In 2011, the total population of Minzhu street was 45015. As of June 2020, democratic Street has five communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at No. 15 Xingguo Hutong, Jilin Street.

In 1948, it belonged to Chaoyang District.

In 1953, Chaoyang District was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of the first district (Changyi District).
