Jinsixia town

Jinsixia town belongs to Shangnan County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the west of Shangnan County, in the middle and upper reaches of Danjiang River Basin, adjacent to guofenglou town in the East, Shuigou town and Shiliping town in the south, Zhulinguan town in Danfeng County in the west, Wuguan town and Shima town in Danfeng County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 16 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 22 kilometers, with a total area of 300.6 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, jinsixia town has one community and 13 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the population of Jin Si gorge registered residence was 26538. In 2011, the total financial revenue of jinsixia town was 2.648 million yuan, and the total agricultural output value reached 160 million yuan.

Historical evolution

It is named after the national 5A scenic spot Jinsi Grand Canyon.

In 1950, taijihe township was established.

In 1958, taijihe commune was established.

In 1984, the township was restored.

In April 1997, taiziping Township and taijihe Township were abolished and taijihe town was merged.

In November 2001, bijiawan township was incorporated.

In June 2011, it was renamed jinsixia town and incorporated into liangjiawan town.

Jinsi Gorge

Jinsixia scenic spot in Shangluo city is a national 5A scenic spot, located in the hinterland of Xinkailing in the southeast of Shangnan County, Shangluo city. It is located in the south foot of Qinling Mountains, connecting with the north slope of Bashan mountain, and in the middle reaches of Danjiang River of Hanjiang River System in the Yangtze River Basin. It is 40 kilometers away from Shangnan county and 18 kilometers away from jinsixia town. There are five scenic spots in the scenic area, including Bailong gorge, Heilong gorge, Qinglong gorge, shiyanzhai and danjiangyuan. There are more than 100 scenic spots. The total length of the gorge is 20.5 km and the depth is more than 10 km. In October 2015, it was approved as a national AAAAA tourist attraction, as well as a national geopark, National Forest Park and National Water Conservancy Scenic spot. It is a rare and most complete ZhangGu geological structure in Qinling Mountains. Jinsi gorge is famous for its narrow, secluded, beautiful and wonderful scenery. It has dense rivers, dense forests, various wild animals and plants, and its original ecology is well preserved.

In July 2020, it was named as the National Health township of 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
