Shuixiu Township

Shuixiu township is a township under the jurisdiction of Taigu District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. It is located in the northwest corner of Taigu district. It is located at the intersection of Taigu District, Qi county and Qingxu County. It is 2.5km away from the urban area of Taigu district. It is close to the central corridor of Jinzhong 108 National Highway. Taixu line of provincial highway runs through the north and south of the township, covering an area of 38.55km2.

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Shuixiu township has a total land area of about 73540 mu, cultivated land area of more than 40000 mu, 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and permanent resident population of 19362 (2017).

The vegetable industry is market-oriented, science and technology-based, pollution-free vegetable production as the core, and facility agriculture industry development as the direction. The vegetable planting area of the whole township is stable at 40000 mu (including replant), and the vegetable output is increasing year by year. The economic income of the vegetable industry of the whole Township accounts for more than 50% of the farmers' income, becoming the first vegetable Township in Jinzhong.

In 2003, the economic income of the township reached 347 million yuan, and the total output value of township enterprises reached 200 million yuan. The total grain output remained at 15 million kg and the per capita net income was 3461 yuan. 650000 yuan for local taxes and 1356000 yuan for agricultural taxes. The birth rate was controlled at 9.01 ‰ and the family planning rate was 95.02%.
