Towbuka town

Tuobuka town is located in the northernmost part of Dongchuan District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, 64 kilometers away from the seat of the district government (xiaoka highway). It is the junction of two provinces (Yunnan and Sichuan), four places (Kunming, Qujing, Zhaotong and Huidong County), and four counties (Dongchuan District, Huize County, Qiaojia county and Huidong County). It is the north gate of Kunming city. Dongge highway is the most convenient way out of Yunnan and into Sichuan.

Tuobuka town is located 35 kilometers north of Dongchuan City, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It covers an area of 193.93 square kilometers and has a population of 29912 (2017). Jurisdiction Xinjie, Songping, Buka, anleqing, dahuangdi, xiaoxiantang, watermelon, xindianfang, Taoyuan, Shuju, xijiaping, shangshuiping, Boka, kutaoshu, Potou, dashujiao, Xiangbi, Gele 18 administrative villages. Historical evolution

Tuobuka commune was established in 1959, Boka commune was established in 1961, the commune was removed to district in 1984, and the district was removed to township in 1988. In 1997, tuobuka Township covers an area of 109 square kilometers, with 12 administrative villages including Xinjie, tuobuka, xijiaping, xiaoxiantang, anleqing, Shuju, dahuangdi, watermelon land, Taoyuan, xindianfang, shangshuiping and Songping; Boka Township covers an area of 86.9 square kilometers, with 6 administrative villages including Boka, Xiangbi, Gele, kutaoshu, dashujiao and Potou. In 2005, Boka Township and mopuka Township were abolished and mopuka town was merged.

geographical environment

With a total area of 193.93 square kilometers, the town has 18 village committees and 148 villager groups. It is mainly inhabited by the Han nationality. Some ethnic minorities live together. The lowest altitude of the whole town is 695m (Xiaohekou), which is the lowest point and the highest point of Kunming city. It is on the top of damuchang mountain with an altitude of 2600m and a great height difference of 1905m. It belongs to the second half mountain area with an average annual temperature of 25 ℃ and an annual rainfall of 700mm. It forms a three-dimensional climate type and is suitable for cultivation of various crops. Water resources are scarce and the terrain is steep. Xiaojiang area, with an average annual temperature of 19-22 ℃, frost free period of 307-335 days and annual rainfall of 600mm, is a natural greenhouse in Kunming. The per capita grain production of the whole town is 212 kg.

Xiaojiang dry hot valley has high temperature all year round, which is suitable for the growth of a variety of tropical economic crops. In particular, "Xiaojiang watermelon" has been well-known both inside and outside the province. There are nearly 5000 mu of floodplain waiting for further development. The lowest altitude of the whole town is 695 meters (bokagele Xiaohekou), which is the lowest point in Kunming city.
