Bingmei town

Bingmei town is a township under the jurisdiction of Congjiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is located on the border of Guizhou and Guangxi. It passes through the Duliu River and national highway 321. It is an important gateway to Guangdong and Guangxi in the southeast of Guizhou Province. It is the former Chengguan town of Congjiang County, 252 kilometers away from Kaili, the capital of the state, and only 280 kilometers away from Guilin and Liuzhou of Guangxi. Therefore, it has been known as "the gateway of Southern Guizhou and the important part of Northern Guangxi" since ancient times. The cultivated land area of the town is 9497 mu, including 6997 mu of paddy field and 45% of forest coverage. It is listed as one of the "25 economically strong towns in the Prefecture".

In 2011, Bingmei town covers an area of 108 square kilometers, with 15 administrative villages, 3 communities, 81 villager groups, 8775 households and 22048 people; Yongli Township covers an area of 183.88 square kilometers, with 13 administrative villages, 17 natural villages and 98 villager groups, with 3325 households and 15742 people. on January 14, 2016, Guizhou Provincial People's Government (QFH [2016] No. 23) agreed to abolish the organizational system of Bingmei town and Yongli Township and set up a new Bingmei town. The newly established Bingmei town governs the former Bingmei town and Yongli Township, and the town people's government is located in Jiangdong community. on August 2, 2019, Guizhou Provincial People's Government (QFH [2019] No. 84) approved the establishment of Bingmei street in Congjiang County from Bingmei town.

As of August 2019, after the adjustment of administrative divisions, Bingmei town has 14 administrative villages, including Datang Village, Longjiang village, Guilin village, Dadong village, zailuo village, Basha village, Yongli village, Gaojia village, gunyu village, Yaodeng village, Darong village, Huoli village, Dayan village and Changzhai village, and the Township People's government is stationed in Changzhai village.
