Pengjiazhai Township

Pengjiazhai township is located in the middle of Fuxing District, Handan City, Hebei Province. It is 3 kilometers away from the municipal government. It passes through Hanchang railway, Hanfeng ring railway, Hanchang highway and Hanwu highway. The township government is located at 9 Qianjin Street. It covers an area of 10.54 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 44879 (2017). It governs 15 communities. Historical sites include the city wall site of King Zhao of the Warring States period, chajianling, dressing house, zhaomeichi, etc.

Evolution of organizational system

Xidatun commune was established in 1958, renamed pengjiazhai commune in 1977 and pengjiazhai Township in 1984. In 1995, haocun township was incorporated. In 1997, it covered an area of 28.9 square kilometers and had a population of 38000.
