Dingwei Shui nationality township was founded in August 1984. It is located at the junction of Guizhou and Guangxi provinces (districts). It is located on the Bank of Duliu River in the south of Rongjiang county. It is 37km away from the county seat and runs through the 321 national road. It is adjacent to Bakai town in the East, Jihua Township and shuiweishui Township in the south, Sanjiang Township and hepingjiang Township in the north, and Xinghua Township in the West. The township covers an area of 146.9 square kilometers with a total population of 6668.
