Mashanzi Town, belonging to Wudi County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the northeast of Wudi County, adjacent to Zhanhua County by Taoer River in the East, Liubao town in the south, jieshishan town in the west, Chengkou town in the north and Bohai Sea in the northeast. The area is 515.76 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of Ma Shan Zi registered residence was 33576.

In 1957, it was Shanzi township. In 1968, it was called mashanzi commune. In May 1984, it was named mashanzi township. In October 1994, mashanzi town was established. As of June 2020, mashanzi town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 21 administrative villages.

By the end of 2018, there were 121 industrial enterprises in mashanzi Town, including 15 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 42 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1932, it was Gaotian township.

In 1957, it was Shanzi township.

In 1968, it was called mashanzi commune.

In May 1984, it was named mashanzi township.

In October 1994, mashanzi town was established.

In February 1997, Dongfenggang township was merged; in May of the same year, the town government moved from mashanzi village to Tianjia village and worked with Binzhou port economic development zone.

In April 2010, mashanzi town was entrusted to Beihai Economic Development Zone of Binzhou City.
