Panghai Town, belonging to Kaili City, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is located in the north of Kaili City, adjacent to kaitang town and sankeshu town in the East, sankeshu town and Ximahe street in the south, Wanshui town in the west, Gulong town of Huangping County in the north, with an administrative area of 91.8 square kilometers.

In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Xuanwei Department of Bozhou; in January 1992, Panghai Town, wengxiang Township and Diwu Township were merged into Panghai town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 35232. As of June 2020, Banghai town has jurisdiction over one community and 13 administrative villages, and the people's Government of the town is located in Banghai village.

History of construction

In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Xuanwei Department of Bozhou.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Qingping county.

In 1913, the first division of the third district of Lushan County was established.

In 1932, the Fifth District of Lushan County, Linjiang Town, Panghai Township, Laoying Township, Tonggu Township and Dabao Township, and the Sixth District, wengxiang Township, Jihe (Jibo) Township and Yongning Township, were set up.

In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it was changed into the coastal joint insurance and wengxiang joint insurance.

In 1941, it was changed into Panghai town and wengxiang township.

In 1953, Panghai town was divided into three townships: Panghai, Kafang and Daxi. Wengxiang township was divided into five townships: wengxiang, Diwu, shuizhuzhai, mishao and Changpo.

In 1958, two communes, Linjiang (Banghai) and Hongqi (wengxiang), were set up; at the end of the same year, one district commune was implemented, which belonged to Banghai commune.

In 1961, one district and one community were abolished, and two communes, Panghai and wengxiang, were established.

In 1963, it was changed into three communes: Panghai commune, wengxiang commune and Diwu commune.

In May 1984, it was changed to Panghai Town, wengxiang Township and Diwu Township respectively.

In January 1992, Panghai Town, wengxiang Township and Diwu Township were merged into Panghai town.
