Talc Dong Miao Tujia Township

Located in the northeast of Tongren City, it is adjacent to Chatian Town, Huanghe Township and YUNCHANGPING town of Fenghuang County in Hunan Province in the East, Chuandong town in the west, Huanbei office and Yangtou town in the south, Daxing town of Songtao county and ALA town of Fenghuang County in Hunan Province in the north.

The township governs 13 administrative villages and 87 villager groups, with a total of 4824 households and 19600 people, including more than 320 non-agricultural people and more than 4600 young people. The minority population accounts for 84.6% of the total population.

Agricultural characteristics

The township area is more than 13 kilometers long from east to west and 14 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 78 square kilometers. The total cultivated land is 46500 mu (the actual measured area of the urban planning office), and the per capita cultivated land is 2.4 mu, including 2.0 mu of paddy fields and 22688 mu of barren hills suitable for fruit and tea development. Tongren is the main grain producing area of Tongren City, known as "Tongren granary". The total grain output of the township is stable at more than 19000 tons.
