Huaqi Town, belonging to Zhijin County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the east of Zhijin County, bordering Ziqiang Miao Township in the East, Machang town in the southeast, Niuchang town in the South and southwest, puweng Township in the west, Nayong Township in the northwest, Daping Miao Yi Township in the North, Longchang town in the northeast, with an administrative area of 96.42 square kilometers.

In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to longkuazexi; in January 1992, the district was removed and the town was built. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence households was 47466. As of June 2020, Huaqi town has jurisdiction over 9 communities and 15 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Huaqi community.

In 2011, the tax revenue of Huaqi town was 15.5352 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 3248 yuan. In 2018, there were 11 industrial enterprises in Huaqi Town, including 3 Enterprises above Designated Size and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to longtuzexi.

In the Qing Dynasty, most of them belonged to the fourth class of huaizhongli, and a few belonged to Dading Prefecture.

In 1913, it belonged to the eastern district.

In 1932, Huaqi town was established, belonging to the fourth district.

At the end of 1935, it belonged to three districts.

In 1944, Huaqi township was established.

In January 1950, it belonged to three districts; in June of the same year, Huaqi, Ziqiang and Tenglong were merged into three districts, and the district government was stationed in Tenglong.

In February 1952, it belongs to six districts.

In May 1955, Longchang District merged into Huaqi district.

In September 1958, the association was reformed.

On July 9, 1962, Huaqi district was abolished, and the four communes under its jurisdiction were assigned to Longchang district; on December 12, 1962, the communes under its jurisdiction were restored.

In January 1992, the district was withdrawn and the town was built.

There are two main rivers: one flows from caishiqiao in puweng township to MUNAI River in Zhongshan village, with a total length of 4 km; the other flows from niuchangqiao to Shigan River to Laozhai River in Luojiazhai village, with a total length of 5 km.

Zhijin cave, formerly known as Daji cave, is the central scenic spot of Zhijin Cave Scenic spot. It is a high-level karst cave with multiple patterns, levels and types. The total length of the cave is 12.1 km, covering an area of more than 700000 square meters. The widest part of the two walls is 175 meters, and the relative height difference is 150 meters.
