Central Street

Historical change

In 1735 A.D., tingziba (now the Central Street Office) was moved to Renhuai county. It has a history of more than 270 years. In 1915 A.D., tingziba was subordinate to the Central District of Renhuai county. In 1929 A.D., the central district was changed into a district and a joint insurance system was established. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940 A.D.), the new system was implemented, and the Lianbao town was changed into a town. Tingziba was the "hub" of the North-South transportation in the county, so it was renamed as the central town. In 2005, with the approval of the provincial people's government, the central sub district office was set up in the town. In April 2008, it was divided into central sub district office, Yanjin sub district office and Canglong sub district office.
