Chunjiang Township
Chunjiang township is under the jurisdiction of Jinyang County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Maliuping township was established in 1952, Chunjiang commune was renamed in 1972, and Chunjiang township was established in 1984. Chunjiang township is located in the southwest of the county, across the Jinsha River and Yunnan Province. It is 40 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 34.1 square kilometers and has a population of 3000. Jinbu road passes through. It has jurisdiction over five village committees, namely dajuan, chenjialiangzi, yaomituo, Tianba and Chunjiang. The main agricultural products in Chunjiang township are rice, corn and sugarcane. In the north-east, Dongzhou township is connected with Dongzhou Township in the northeast and Sanshan town in the northwest. Jianshe village is located in the township, which is only 2 kilometers away from Fuyang town. In recent ten years, rural enterprises have sprung up, and local paper is quite famous. With a total area of 35 square kilometers, it governs 21 administrative villages, 199 villager groups and 50 natural villages, with a total population of 21892 by the end of 1991.
Institutional Evolution
In the early days of liberation, Chunjiang township was once divided into three townships, namely Zhongyu Township, Minzhu Township and Taiping Township. The government of Zhongyu township was established in May 1950 and in June 1952
The Democratic township government was established in May 1950 and the Party branch was established in the spring of 1955; the Taiping Township Government was established in June 1950 and the Party branch was established in May 1954. In March 1956, the three townships of Zhongyu, Minzhu and Taiping were merged into Chunjiang township. At the same time, the township general Party branch committee (hereinafter referred to as the general Party branch) and the Township People's committee were established.
In October 1958, the township government was established as a people's commune with "unity of government and society". The people's Committee of Chunjiang township was transformed into the Management Committee of Chunjiang Township People's commune (hereinafter referred to as the Management Committee), and the general branch of Chunjiang township was transformed into the Committee of Chunjiang commune of the Communist Party of China (hereinafter referred to as the Party committee).
In January 1960, a large commune was established in the county. Chunjiang commune was merged into Taiping commune and changed into the Management Committee of Chunjiang administrative region and the Party committee into the general Party branch of the administrative region.
In July 1961, the scale of the people's commune was adjusted, the large commune was abolished, the commune was restored to rural areas, and the Party committee and Management Committee of Chunjiang people's commune were rebuilt.
At the beginning of the cultural revolution in May 1965, the Party committee and the management committee moved aside. In August 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of Chunjiang commune (hereinafter referred to as the Revolutionary Committee) was established, which implemented "unified" leadership and replaced the Party committee and the Management Committee of the commune. In April 1971, the core group of the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was established, and the commune Party committee was reestablished in September.
In October 1976, when the Cultural Revolution ended, it was called the commune reform committee and the commune Party committee.
In December 1980, the commune reform committee disappeared and was rebuilt as the commune management committee.
In March 1984, according to the spirit of the separation of the central government and the commune, the name of the Township People's government was restored, and the commune Party committee was renamed the township party committee. The 26 year old people's commune completed its historical mission.
