On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Bazhong City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Bazhou District and other three counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 23): to cancel Guimin Township, Huitan Township and Liuwan Township and establish Guimin town. The administrative area of Guimin town is the administrative area of Xinli community, Xinli village, Jiuling village, LANGPING village and Hongzhu village of yuanguimin Township, yuanhuitan Township and yuanliuwan township. The people's Government of Guimin town is located at No. 1, Zhengzheng street.

In December 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's government agreed to abolish Guimin Township, Huitan Township and Liuwan Township and establish Guimin town in Nanjiang County, Bazhong City. The administrative area of Guimin town is the administrative area of Xinli community, Xinli village, Jiuling village, LANGPING village and Hongzhu village of yuanguimin Township, yuanhuitan Township and yuanliuwan township. The people's Government of Guimin town is located at No. 1, Zhengzheng street.
