Yukou area

Yukou is a town (area) under the jurisdiction of Pinggu District, Beijing. Pinggu District is one of the four regional offices, located in the western region. It is an important central town in the west of Pinggu District. It covers an area of 64.1 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 28627 (2017).

Yukou town was built in Ming Dynasty. Yukou township was established in 1956. In 1958, yukou commune was changed, under which yukou, beiyangjiaqiao and other management areas were set up. Beiyangjiaqiao commune was established in 1974. In 1984, yukou Township and beiyangjiaqiao Township were changed, and in 1990, yukou township was withdrawn to build a town. In 1996, yukou town covers an area of 45.9 square kilometers with a population of 21000, and has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, including yukou, xifangezhuang, dongfangezhuang, Xinglongzhuang, Zhongqiao, hujiaying, caituo, Xiying, Sanbaishan and Nanying; beiyangjiaqiao Township covers an area of 19 square kilometers with a population of 10000, and has jurisdiction over beiyangjiaqiao, Daguanzhuang, yunfengsi, tuotousi, nanyangjiaqiao, Ligezhuang, changmenkou, huxinzhuang, yujiaqiao and other villages Qiaotou, Xiaoguanzhuang 10 administrative villages. In 2000, beiyangjiaqiao township was abolished and merged into yukou town. On November 14, 2002, Jingmin Paifa No. 400 agreed to set up yukou District Office in yukou Town, implementing "one set of people and two brands". At the end of 2002, the office was located in yukou village, with an area of 64.1 square kilometers and a population of 31200. It has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, including Daguanzhuang, Xiaoguanzhuang, Zhongqiao, dongfangezhuang, xifangezhuang, caituo, Xinglongzhuang, hujiaying, yukou, nanyangjiaqiao, beiyangjiaqiao, Nanying, Xiying, yunfengsi, changmenkou, Ligezhuang, tuotousi, huxinzhuang, Qiaotou and Sanbaishan.
