Bobo Township belongs to Ganluo county. It is located in the southeast of Ganluo County, 30 kilometers away from the county. It borders Ebian Yi Autonomous County in the East, Jirong town in the South and aerxiang in the north, covering an area of 91.3 square kilometers. The total population is 1950.

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Bobo township.

Bobo Township governs 5 administrative villages and 17 villager groups. It has a population of 1950, with an altitude of 1390-3880 meters. It is a typical mountainous Yi village in the county. It is the local agricultural service center, providing science and technology and information services for farmers, providing pre production, mid production and post production services, promoting science and technology and introducing fine varieties, preventing and controlling crop diseases and pests, strengthening the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases, and promoting scientific livestock breeding.
