Erliping township is located in the north east of Butuo County, 38 kilometers away from the county. It borders weizhiluo and Lianbu townships in the East, Wadu Township in the south, Shaluo Township and Meigan Township in Zhaojue County in the west, and caiha Township in the north. The people's government is located in Luodi village.

The overall terrain of erliping Township inclines from east to west, with the lowest elevation of Shaluo river at 1980 meters and the highest elevation of lelian ODI mountain at 3580 meters. Historical evolution

Erliping township was established in 1956, changed to commune in 1972, renamed as erliping commune in 1981, and restored to erliping Township in 1984. By the end of 2011, it had jurisdiction over 6 villagers' committees and 29 villagers' groups in Luodi, Gaji, erliping, cailuo, guomu and haiteku. The township has a central primary school, a police station, a health center and a judicial office. At the end of 2011, the total population of the district was 4560, with 1412 households. On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish erliping Township and establish erliping town. The former administrative region of erliping township is the administrative region of erliping town. The people's Government of erliping town is located at 32 erliping Road, Luodi village.

Economic situation

Erliping township is a typical agricultural township, whose economy is mainly agricultural economy. The main food crops are potato and corn. There are 14 kilometers of highway from Lianbu to erliping, 20 kilometers of highway from erliping to the county, 12 kilometers of highway from erliping to caiha, and 25 kilometers of highway from erliping to Jizhi.
