Sizha Township

Sizha township is under the jurisdiction of Derong County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Sisha township was established in 1958, the commune was changed in 1973, and the township was restored in 1984.

On June 17, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Sizha township.

[brief introduction] Sizha township is located in the north of the county, 15 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 154.72 square kilometers and has a population of 1079 (2017). It has jurisdiction over six village committees, namely, balang, Lenggu, Langzhong, Xiarong, Kagong and Niri.

Sisha Township mainly produces highland barley, wheat and buckwheat. Economic trees include walnut, apple and peach. Produce Cordyceps, Fritillaria, Anemarrhena, Saussurea and other valuable medicinal materials.

[organization] by the end of 2015, there were 28 cadres and workers in the township, including a central school, a police station and a health center.

[agriculture] the total area of cultivated land is 1678 mu, including 412 mu of water land. In recent years, through the national agricultural machinery subsidy policy, some farmers in the township have realized the semi mechanized farming of farmland by purchasing all kinds of tillage machines. The main crops are wheat, highland barley, corn and potato.

[animal husbandry] the animal husbandry of the township is mainly concentrated in Langzhong and Xiarong villages, mainly natural stocking. In 2016, there were about 5500 livestock in the township, with a listing rate of 31%. Pastry and milk residue are the main products of animal husbandry.
