Shaofu town

Shafu Town, a large town in Langfang, Hebei, is located in the northwest of Dachang Hui Autonomous County, Langfang, east of Dachang Town, adjacent to Qichang Town, West to Sanhe Yanjiao Town, north to summer cushion Town, and 22.18 square kilometers in area, with 11009 registered residence population as of 2018.

It originally belonged to Sanhe county. In 1955, it belonged to Dachang Hui Autonomous County. At the end of 1958, it was included in Jixian County. In June 1962, Dachang Hui Autonomous County was restored. In 1984, it was changed to Shaofu township. In November 2013, the township was set up. As of June 2020, Shaofu town has 8 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 10 industrial enterprises and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Shaofu town.

In 1955, it belonged to Dachang Hui Autonomous County.

At the end of 1958, it was included in Jixian County.

In 1961, Shaofu commune was established.

In June 1962, Dachang Hui Autonomous County was restored.

In 1984, it was changed to Shaofu township.

History and culture

The origin of place names

It got its name from Shaofu village, where the town people's government was stationed. According to the research, Shaofu village was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is said that when the king of Yan swept the north, Shao and his officials occupied an area of land and established a village, which was named shaojiafu, later referred to as Shaofu.

Famous specialty

It's also known as casserole cake. It's sweet, thick, soft and non sticky. It's suitable for the elderly. It's one of the halal snacks that people in Dachang often eat. It has a history of more than 300 years. Its characteristic is to make the way with the cylinder, and stick the green cake directly on the cylinder wall.

Dachang sesame pancake is very famous in Jingdong, and pancake shops are widely opened in all villages and towns. The pancake is large, with many layers, thick sauce and even sesame seeds. It's usually a special local stove. It's first baked and then roasted. The heat is even. After being roasted, it looks like a drum. It's eaten while it's hot. It's crisp outside and soft inside.
