Nilong town

Nilong town is located in the east of Pingchang County, 48 kilometers away from the county. It borders Yankou Township and Qingyun township of Xuanhan County in the East, Zitong township of Daxian County in the south, Qiujia town and Bishan town in the West and north respectively. Covering an area of 42.62 square kilometers, it governs 10 administrative villages, including Wenchang, Xiaoshan, Shaxi, Niujiao, shicang, Qingshan, Huajing, Jinhua, waqiao and Dover, with 85 communities and a total population of more than 30000 (2019). The sea level is 840 meters, and the soil is yellow mud. There is niujiaokeng reservoir, a key project in the city.

On May 25, 2020, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Bazhong City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Tongjiang County and Pingchang county (cfzm [2020] No. 4): the administrative area of Jintang village in Bishan town was put under the jurisdiction of nilong Town, and the people's Government of nilong town was stationed at No. 126 Wenchang street, Wenchang community.

Development status

Nine administrative villages and 84 agricultural communities in the town have achieved the goal of connecting every village with roads, and all the 5.1km rural roads are cement roads. Current situation of village roads: Longcang Road (from Changzhen to shicang Village) is 2.8km long cement road; Longqiao Road (from Changzhen to waqiao village, through Huajing, Jinhua and waqiao villages), fengni Road (original township road, which was submerged due to the construction of niujiaokeng reservoir, through Shaxi village and Xiaoshan Village), Zini Road (from nilong to Zitong of Da County, through Qingshan Village), and Longfo Road (from Chang town to Dover Village) is full of mud and stone. There are more than 200 large and small reservoirs in the township, including one middle (type I) reservoir (niujiaokeng reservoir), one small (type II) reservoir (Dongfeng reservoir) and one small (type II) reservoir (Laojunshan reservoir). There are 850 program-controlled telephones in the town, six villages are connected with optical fiber TV, and the radio coverage rate reaches 55%. There are two mobile stations in the town,

Culture, education and health

There are 1 junior middle school, 10 primary schools, 49 teaching staff, nine-year compulsory education, a town health center, 16 doctors, 14 beds, 11 departments, 9 village medical stations, 26 medical staff.

Industrial Development

The economic development of nilong town is supported by planting, breeding and labor economy. There are four large pig farmers with more than 200 households. We have built a poultry breeding industry with more than 100000 sheep and a large breeding household with more than 100 sheep. Jinhua village has introduced owners to develop 300 mu of land for planting watermelon, honeysuckle and other medicinal materials. There are 5 shale brick factories and more than 300 individual business households in the town.
