Qingmai Township

Qingmai township is a township under the jurisdiction of Xiangcheng County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Qingmai township was established in 1958, the commune was changed in 1973, and the township was restored in 1984. In December 2019, Qingmai township will be abolished and its administrative region will be put under the jurisdiction of Qingde town.

Qingmai township is located in the south of the county, 16 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 202 square kilometers and has a population of 3079 (2017). The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest. The highest elevation is 5336m in the southeast of sago peak, and the lowest elevation is 2560m in the south of Zhongda village. The relative elevation difference is very large, which constitutes a slope like slope with high northeast and low southwest. Shuoqu, Dingqu and Mayi rivers run parallel from north to South and cut the landform into three valleys, four mountains and six slopes. To the west of Dingqu River and its upper reaches, to the upper reaches of Mayi River and to the east of Shuoqu River, the vast area is the original surface of mountains, accounting for about 68% of the total area. The central and southern parts are mainly high mountains and valleys, accounting for 29%, and flat dams are scattered, accounting for only 3%.
