Xinqiao Town

Xinqiao Town, subordinate to Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the middle of Jiangsu Province, the south of Taizhou City and the southwest of Jingjiang City, with 32 ° N and 120 ° E in the center. It is adjacent to Guangjing Expressway and Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge in the East, and faces Jiangyin, Wuxi and Changzhou across the Yangtze River in the south. Evolution of organizational system

After the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949, it was subordinate to Yangzhou and Taizhou.

In 1959, Xinqiao commune was built.

In 1983, Xinqiao commune was changed into a township under the management of Yangzhou city.

In 1986, a town was set up in Xinqiao township.

In 1996, the prefecture level Taizhou city was established, and Xinqiao Town was transferred to Taizhou City, with 18 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee in Xinqiao.

In 2003, Xinqiao Town had jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees and 18 administrative villages: Zhenxing, lishiqiao and SIDUNZI.

The former Taihe Town is located in the southwest of Jingjiang City, 20 kilometers away from Jingjiang City. Taihe commune was established in 1958, township was changed in 1983, and town was established in 1992.

Topography

Xinqiao Town is located in Subei plain of lower Yangtze Delta. It is a part of Jiangyin and Changshu dome fault fold bundle, which is a secondary structural unit of lower Yangtze platform fold belt. The territory is the Yangtze River Delta alluvial plain, flat terrain.
