Zake Township
Located in the narrow and long valley of the upper reaches of the Yalong River, with an altitude of 3480 meters and 80 kilometers away from the county seat, it is connected by roads. The Zhaqu reach of the Yalong River is located in the township.
General situation
"Zake" means "Shizigou" in Tibetan. The Yalong River flows from Zake to Geni village, Xise Township, where it joins with the Chala river. This section of the Yalong River is also known as "Zhaqu", which means "Rock River". Zake township is under the jurisdiction of Ganzi County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It's a place with beautiful scenery and fresh air. Zake township is located in the northwest of the county, 80 kilometers away from the county. The road is open. It has jurisdiction over four village committees: dabaka, Zhongmai, Chaduo and Haila. Sangzhu temple in the territory is said to be the last one built among the 13th yellow religion temples in hall area.
Historical evolution
Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of horbairi chieftain; in 1956, it set up Zake township; in 1960, it changed into commune; in 1983, it returned to township.
Famous scenic spots
Dingqing temple, located in zhako Township, dege County, is a primitive Temple of Benbo religion. It was founded in 587 by the great Lama danbaqinrao. It has a history of 1416 years, 40 years before the first raoji in Tibetan calendar. It is not only the center of Benbo temple in Kangqu, but also the highest institution of Benbo sect and the ancestral temple of Benbo religion in Kangqu. In 1983, it was approved by the people's Government of Ganzi Prefecture as the first batch of open temples. At present, there are 10 Benbo temples in the county, with nearly 600 monks, including 5 living Buddhas and 7 zoujue. Among the 10 temples, Dingqing temple has the longest history. Riban temple in yueba Township, jizharezhe temple in zhongzake Township and cuotong temple in langduo township have a history of more than 1000 years. In terms of the temple scale and the number of monks, Dingqing temple is the largest, which is known as the ancestral temple of Benbo religion in Kangkang district; manjin temple in wentuo township is second only to Dingqing temple in terms of temple scale, monks and sect reputation.
economic development
Zake township is mainly engaged in animal husbandry, mainly raising yaks and goats. Produce Cordyceps, Fritillaria and other valuable medicinal materials.
