Meiwo township is a township under the jurisdiction of Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is 7.5km away from the county seat. It is rich in resources. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. It is an agricultural poverty township. It has 7 agricultural villages and 23 villager groups.

General situation

The terrain is like a leaf, and the river is like a vein scattering among them. The Meiwo river is 30 km long and originates from ZHAOBISHAN, which is adjacent to Ya'an City. There is a large gap in water resources. The county's investment in the construction of Meiwo power station has been fully started in our Township, and it is planned to put into operation in 2004. It has a total population of 3358 (2017), a total cultivated area of 65186 mu, a total grain output of 2.572 million jin, 21193 large and small livestock, a total income of 5.7241 million yuan, and a per capita net income of 1136.00 yuan. Meiwo township is located in the southwest of the county, 7 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 369.76 square kilometers and has a population of 3358 (2017). It has jurisdiction over seven village committees: toudao, Semu, Taiyang, Heshanggou, huaniu, Shuanghe and Meiwo.

Historical evolution

Meiwo township was established in 1954; the commune was changed in 1958; Xinfeng commune was renamed in 1966; Meiwo township was restored in 1978.

economic development

Meiwo Township mainly produces corn, wheat, broad bean and potato. The Red Star 75-2 and 75-3 Apple products have good color and aroma. there are three projects attracting investment in the whole Township, with a successful investment of 10 million yuan. Among them, the investment of 6 million yuan, the installed capacity of 1250 kW, and the annual output value of 1.8 million yuan of Jiulong power station are about to switch on for power generation. Tianhua wood products factory has successfully expanded the investment of 2.5 million yuan, and the production scale is further expanded. The annual output value of 40 million yuan, and the investment of 1.5 million yuan of silkworm science and technology park are about to put into operation. The environment for economic development has been continuously optimized, the "four disorder" phenomenon has been effectively controlled, and the aftereffect of industrial economic development has been enhanced.

Culture and health education

In terms of cultural and health education, there is a township health center and three rural medical stations, which basically guarantee the local treatment of minor diseases of farmers and herdsmen in the township.
