Jinyan Township

Jinyan township is under the jurisdiction of Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. In 1954, the three townships of Russia, Waluo and Reshui were established. In 1958, they were merged into Jinyan Yi Autonomous township. In 1964, they were changed into Jinyan commune. In 1984, they were set up in Jinyan township. Jinyan mountain is located in Jinyan township. Yi People's name is "yi'e Pei Zhi" (meaning tooth like rock).
