Qingcheng town is located in the northeast of Heshun County, with a total area of 189 square kilometers (2017), and has jurisdiction over 29 administrative villages, 2933 households and 6143 people (2017). Qingcheng village, where the town government is located, is 45 kilometers away from the county.

Qingcheng town has unique geographical location and obvious regional advantages. The town is located at the junction of two provinces and three counties, overlooking Xindu District, Xingtai City, Hebei Province in the East, adjacent to Gaoluo town and Shuiyu township of Xiyang County in the northwest, and Songyan town of the county in the south. Fange line of Chusheng road runs through the whole territory from south to north, and Dadong line meets fange line from west. The transportation is very convenient, and the development of commercial circulation has favorable conditions.

Famous cultural relics include: dangchengbeiyaowan ancient human activity site (14000 years earlier than the peak cave people in Beijing), zhaoshelei ancient battlefield site (the historical witness of "Yuyu battle" and "Yuyu battle again" in the spring and Autumn period), houhuyu HuGu tomb (the cemetery of Wang Yunfeng, the Minister of the Ming Dynasty); the unique "Guya natural danger" in Taihang is a natural landscape among the ten old scenes of Heshun Traditional folk literature and art with strong local characteristics, such as Qingcheng sound gongs and drums, Paopao Pao, Xiangma Zhuan, are applying for national intangible cultural heritage protection. We should promote development through opening up and attract investment. Taihang Longkou scenic spot (baibei Guyan Temple) and baibei "farmhouse" developed and constructed by Zhejiang Tongshun tourism company have begun to take shape, which will greatly promote the development and prosperity of the town's cultural tourism industry.

Our town is a traditional agricultural town and an important grain production base in the county, with a long history of planting and cattle raising. In recent years, the town continues to increase the intensity of planting structure adjustment, and strive to develop the ecological circular economy. The three pillar industries of agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry have made great progress. By the end of 2009, the total grain output was 8757 tons, the number of cattle was 4011, the newly planted forest area was 7800 mu, the total income of rural economy was 24.66 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1889 yuan. The rise of agricultural enterprises such as Dongtai shuangqiantou cattle farm, Dangcheng grain processing plant, Jinjun agricultural machinery processing plant will further accelerate the development process of agricultural modernization in the town.
