Huachi Township

Huachi township of Xuanhan county was built in the early Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. Huachi township was established in 1949, changed to Huachi commune in 1958, and restored to Huachi Township in 1984. Located in the northwest of Xuanhan County, 45km away from Xuanhan County, covering an area of 52.77 square kilometers, it governs 1 Community (Hehua community), 5 villages (Dachi, Yangou, Xiaochi, Longqiao, liangya), 34 Village (residents) groups, with a total population of 10468 (2017).

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Huachi township.

The area has beautiful scenery, dense mountains and forests, lush trees, with a forest coverage rate of 50%. With convenient transportation, Hu (JIA) Hong (Feng) road runs through it, successfully building the "20 minute project" of rural roads, realizing the cement roads for every village, vigorously improving the function and grade of the town, and building a new farm market.

In recent years, Huachi township has made full use of its regional advantages, taking the development of dairy industry as a breakthrough point, promoting farmers to increase production and income, enriching the people and strengthening the township, and successfully developed the "animal husbandry community" in Yangou village; it has made full use of its resource advantages, vigorously developed private enterprises, and created a good soft environment for enterprise development.
