Huangdu Township

Huangdu township is located more than 50 kilometers southeast of Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is adjacent to Wanjia town in the East, Jingshi town in the west, Dashu town in the South and Dongxing Township in the north. It covers an area of 27 square kilometers. The township governs 11 villages and 111 villager groups, with a population of 1824500. It has 14198 mu of cultivated land, including 9959 mu of farmland and 4239 mu of soil.

Due to its high altitude, large temperature difference, obvious mountain climate, abundant sunshine and rainfall, Huangdu county has always had the tradition of planting plum. The fruit area of Huangdu green Crisp Plum has reached 200 hectares, which is exported to Chongqing, Chengdu and other places.

Historical evolution

Huangdu township is under the jurisdiction of Dachuan District, Dazhou city. Huangdu town was established in 1935, merged with Dongxing Township in 1940 and became Xingdu township. It was renamed Huangdu Township in 1941, changed to Huangdu commune in 1958 and restored to Huangdu Township in 1984.

The rural highway is connected with the Dachuan Liangping highway. The annual output of grain is more than 9000 tons and oil is more than 150 tons. There are abundant underground mineral resources, such as coal, iron, lime and so on.

Huangdu township has always had the tradition of planting plum. Due to the high altitude, large temperature difference, obvious mountain climate, sufficient sunshine and rainfall, the local green Crisp Plum has good quality and high yield, and is mainly sold to Chongqing, Chengdu and other places. At present, the fruit bearing area of Qingcui plum in Huangdu township has reached 200 hectares, with an output of 2.7 million kg and an output value of more than 12 million yuan. Huangdu township will further expand the development scale of Qingcui Li, work hard to improve the quality and efficiency, increase the brand agglomeration effect of Qingcui Li, develop tourism, and further increase the per capita net income of farmers, so as to lay a solid foundation for the poverty alleviation of Huangdu township.
