Wang Jiahou Township
Wangjiahou township is located in the northeast of Shanzhou District, in the shallow mountain area on the South Bank of the Yellow River, 32 kilometers away from Sanmenxia City. It is connected with Gaomiao township of Hubin District in the west, Guanyintang town and Zhangmao Township in the south, Zhangcun town of Mianchi County in the East and Pinglu County of Shanxi Province across the Yellow River in the north, with a total area of 131.65 square kilometers (2017). There are highways leading to Mianchi, Guanyintang, Sanmenxia and s314 in the township, which are directly connected with Longhai Railway and national highway 310. The transportation in the township is very convenient.

Historical evolution
Wangjiahou commune was established in 1962 and merged into Zhangmao commune in 1965. after the restoration of Wang's commune in 1975, the township was changed in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 61 square kilometers and has a population of 10000. It governs nine administrative villages: wangjiahou, Shangzhuang, luma, Miaoqian, Chaoyang, Dongzhuang, zhaolihe, Yanshan and Laoquan. In 2005, chaiwa township was abolished and merged into wangjiahou township. Attachment: chaiwa township is located in the northeast of Shaanxi county. In 1975, jianchaiwa commune was set up by Guanyintang commune, and in 1984, it was changed to township. In 1997, with an area of 63 square kilometers and a population of 26000, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, including Longtan, Huguo, Hecun, fenshang, chaiwa, Yadi, Zhaozhuang, zhishe, Liujiashan and baishushan.
