Liemian town

Liemian town is subordinate to wusheng County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the northwest of wusheng County, at the junction of three cities and four counties. It borders Li'an town in the East, Jinniu Town in the south, Saima town in the west, and Ji'an town and Lidu town in Jialing District of Nanchong City in the north. Liemian town is a populous town with strong economy, culture and education in wusheng County. There are national highway 212, Lanzhou Chongqing railway, provincial highway 304 and other transportation lines in the town. The total population of the town is 32321 (2017), with a total jurisdiction area of 49.1 square kilometers.

On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some townships and towns in Guang'an City (cfgm [2019] No. 16): Bayi township was cancelled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Liemian Town, and the people's Government of Liemian town was stationed at No. 1 Youyi street.

Liemian town is located in the northwest of wusheng County, adjacent to Jialing River in the East, and bordering Wanshan Town, Jinniu Town, Shengli Town, Saima town in the south, West and North, and Ji'an town and Lidu town in Jialing District of Nanchong City. It covers an area of 65.41 square kilometers. 58197 (2019). The town people's government is located in liemianxi, 24 kilometers away from the county. It is close to the Jialing River in the East and a stream in the south. The dangerous rocks are steep. A series of small streets were built on the stream. It was called Liemian stream in the Ming Dynasty, and later it was written as today's name. In April 1952, Liemian town was divided into two towns, some of which were newly established. In February 1956, Liemian town was merged into Liemian Town, and in April 1985, Liemian town was established.

The total grain production area of the town is 14.58 million kg, with 410 kg per mu, including 7.22 million kg of rice, 579 kg per mu, 247650 kg of rapeseed, 170900 kg of cocoon, 19120 pigs deposited at the end of the year, and 23227 pigs sowed during the year. There are grain and oil processing, wine, wood, brick, construction and other township enterprises, with an annual total output value of 78.97 million yuan.

Lie Mian River, located in the Jialing River and the southern part of the provincial road to Chongqing, county road wusheng to Pengxi highway line, water and land transportation is convenient. There are direct buses to Chongqing, Nanchong and Chengdu every day. Since the establishment of market town in the middle of Ming Dynasty, it has been the residence of District, township and town administration, and Liemian district office after liberation. It is the distribution center of local agricultural and sideline products in northwest of the county, and the famous Songhua preserved eggs are sold in Chongqing, Chengdu, Guizhou and other places.

The famous Dongxiguan power station (medium-sized) is located in this town and Li'an town. Taiji lake, a scenic tourist resort, is here. Taiji lake is more than 40 kilometers long, with picturesque scenery on both sides. It attracts a large number of tourists from inside and outside the province to visit and travel.

Taiji Lake

Taiji lake is called "Taiji Lake" because the two big bays in the East and West Pass of Jialing River are closely linked and the shape is like a natural picture of Taiji. Xiaonanhai

The Xiaonanhai temple in Liemian town was built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 200 years. It covers an area of about 7 Mu and houses 18 Buddha statues. In recent years, in order to strengthen the construction of Temple scenic spots and enrich the tourism culture of Liemian Town, the town government has carefully done the ideological work of the people around the temple in combination with the actual situation, and properly allocated 108 square meters of land in front of the temple and 1.5 mu of land around the temple to the temple as a place for religious activities and green infrastructure construction. In order to improve the functions of the temple infrastructure, the town government negotiated with the temple management group, increased measures, widely collected funds, hired experts, renovated and refined the temple, successfully completed the docking project of the temple drainage system and the market drainage system, effectively completed the construction of the temple wall, and made efforts to solve the problems of tourists' eating, living, traveling and shopping, so as to realize the sustainable development of temple tourism .
