Mengya Township

Old town name. See Sanjiao Town for details. The original Mengya township is under the jurisdiction of Yilong County, located in the northwest of the county, 65 kilometers away from the new county (Xinzheng town). It is 9 kilometers away from the old county (Jincheng town).

Evolution of organizational system

Yilong County governs the township. It was originally named Xinglongchang. In 1940, it was set up in Xinglong Township. In 1980, it was renamed Mengya township. In 1992, it was merged into Sanjiao Town. In 1994, it was restored to Mengya township. In 2019, Mengya township will be abolished and its administrative area will be put under the jurisdiction of Sanjiao Town, No. 19, Zhufu street, people's Government of Sanjiao Town.
