Shuanglin Township

Shuanglin township is located in the east of Yingshan County, Sichuan Province, bordering Laolin, Mingde, puling and Xiaoshui. The territory is dominated by low mountains and hills. It covers an area of 33.69 square kilometers and governs 9 villages and 74 communities with a total population of 7462 (2017). It is a famous "hometown of Hanlin", "hometown of woody oil in China", one of the top ten Characteristic Towns in Sichuan Province, and a hometown of ecological civilization.

Shuanglin township is known as "mountain plain". It is mainly rich in rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato and so on. The main cash crops are Zanthoxylum, rape, peanut, kenaf and Haila. The fruit is famous for "Shuanglin pomelo", which is sold both inside and outside the province. Maoding mountain and Heima mountain are rich in forestry resources. The township has convenient transportation, yingbai highway traverses it, and water resources are relatively rich. Maliu river flows through 7 villages, which provides favorable conditions for agricultural harvest.

The territory is rich in tourism resources, including a Hanlin Park, a wetland park, a provincial cultural relics protection unit - Longxing Temple, a provincial Geopark - Heima mountain and so on.

The Party committee and government of Shuanglin Township seize the opportunity, forge ahead, base on the local reality, cultivate the backbone industry, and list the development of pig, cattle, sheep and Zanthoxylum orange as the backbone industry. There are more than 10500 fattening pigs in the township every year, which has become an important part of increasing farmers' income and financial revenue. The planting area of Zanthoxylum bungeanum is more than 10000 mu, and 20000 famous pomelo trees such as Shuanglin pomelo, Shatian pomelo and Bingtang pomelo have been planted. The fruit development belt along the highway has been basically formed. There are more than 100000 citrus and pomelo trees in the township, with an annual output of more than 300 tons. Its prickly ash industry has become a key production area in Northeast Sichuan. There are ten industrial bases, with an area of more than 10000 mu put into production, and it is expected to reach 30000 mu by 2020. Vigorously develop township enterprises and strive to do a good job in the private economy. In addition to carrying out bold rectification and restructuring of the original machine brick factory, refrigeration factory and three distilleries, we also started to develop a number of enterprises with quick results and good market prospects, striving to quadruple the output value of township enterprises within five years. At present, there are 68 individual businesses and 265 stalls in the township. They have set up all kinds of agricultural products processing plants, cattle and sheep farms, and trendy furniture factories. The economic benefits are very considerable, which has effectively promoted the development of the private economy. We conscientiously organized the export of labor services, generating an annual income of more than 4 million yuan.
