Xinghuo town is located in the southeast of Yingshan County, adjacent to Baiping Township and Xiqiao Town in the East, Xinhe township of Peng'an County in the west, Fude town and Yangjia town of Peng'an County in the south, Liangfeng Township in the north, 20.3km away from Yingshan County, covering an area of 45.05km2. There is a new Liaoyuan community, four hardened streets, more than 5000 square meters, more than 2000 meters of sewers, and two biogas digesters for purification. In the town, there are one junior middle school, one central primary school, 164 teaching staff, and 2813 students. The living rate of students, the popularization rate of primary and junior middle schools, and the enrollment rate of school-age children are all 100%. There are one central health center and one township health center in the town, with 40 medical staff and medical stations in every village.

Xinghuo town's planting industry is mainly grain, and it also grows various economic crops, such as vegetables and fruits. The main grain is rice, wheat, sweet potato, corn, sorghum and soybean, with a total grain output of 4270 tons; the main economic crops are peanut, rape, sesame, sugarcane and tobacco, with a total output of 390 tons; the planting area of vegetables is 1950 mu, with a total output of 2450 tons; the main fruits are pomelo, orange and pear, with a total output of 100 tons, of which the planting area of crystal sugar pomelo is 2000 mu, with more than 100000 plants. Animal husbandry mainly focuses on breeding live pigs, cattle, sheep and small poultry. The town has 9000 live pigs and 910000 poultry (including 780000 waterfowl). Xinghuo town built asphalt road, the Town Village Road, a total length of 30 kilometers, 85 community road. The whole town belongs to the main irrigation area of Liansheng reservoir, with two small type II reservoirs, ensuring irrigation area of 4000 mu and effective irrigation area of 7000 mu. In the town, 45 communities in 6 villages have completed the transformation of rural power grid. Optical fiber communication has been used in the whole town. Some farmers have achieved broadband Internet access. Mobile and Unicom networks have achieved full coverage. More than 570 households have installed cable TV. A 35KV substation and a water supply station with a daily water supply of 100 cubic meters are built. A natural gas supply station is under construction. The town has a comprehensive agricultural market of more than 4000 square meters, a professional livestock and poultry trading market of 1800 square meters and a cattle trading market.

Economic situation

In 2014, the total grain output was 7263 tons, the total agricultural output value was 52.4265 million yuan, the labor income was 10.884 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 6596 yuan.

Merge with Liansheng Township

On June 29, 2006, Sichuan Provincial People's Government (No. 32 of Sichuan civil administration) approved Yingshan County to adjust the township administrative division and merge the original administrative region of Liansheng Township into Xinghuo town. Xinghuo town government is located in Guanyinchang. After the merger, Xinghuo town has jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages, covering a total area of 45.05 square kilometers. By 2011, the population of the whole town has reached nearly 25000.
