Xinmin Township. It is subordinate to Taihe District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the west of Jinzhou City. The total area of the township is 65.7 square kilometers, with 2514 hectares of cultivated land, 18 villagers' committees, 13000 households and 39000 people. Railways and highways extend in all directions. Beijing Shenyang Railway, Jinchao Expressway and national highway 102 run through the north and south. The civil aviation airport is located in the township, 35 kilometers south of Jinzhou port.

Historical evolution

Xinmin Township was established in 1956, changed to Xijiao commune in 1961, and restored to Xinmin Township in 1973. In 1996, it covers an area of 75.2 square kilometers and has a population of 37000. It governs 19 administrative villages including Xinmin, Sunjiawan, Jixiang, Bajiazi, Beipu, Daweizi, Taoyuan, TUANSHANZI, guojiawopu, sujiagou, liujiawopu, Beihao, qianshanheyingzi, houshanheyingzi, tangzhuangzi, Songjiagou, wenjiatun, shilitai and Yangxing.
