Guangzhong Township

Old town name. See Shenba town for details. The former Guangzhong township is located in the northwest of the county seat in southern Sichuan, 43 kilometers away from the southern city. It is a shallow hilly and low mountainous area with many sloping fields, mild climate, concentrated rainfall and beautiful scenery.

In October 2019, Guangzhong township will be abolished and its administrative area will be put under the jurisdiction of Shenba town. The people's Government of Shenba town will be stationed at No. 36, Zhengjie street.

Evolution and division

Guangzhong township was set up in November 1950, and it was subordinate to Yanting County from July 1953 to January 1974. Due to the construction of Shengzhong reservoir, it was assigned to Nanbu County in 1974. The total area is 33.8 square kilometers, with 9629 mu of cultivated land (including 7664 mu of dry land, 1965 mu of paddy field) and 27000 mu of forest land. At present, it governs 8 villages of Luhua, Zhonghe, Jinma, Shuangqiao, Baiguo, Daying, Hanlin and Gaoling, 83 villager groups, 2806 households and 10034 people. The main nationality is Han nationality.

Infrastructure

Guangzhong has convenient transportation. The main roads of Leng (shuiya) Daping and Hua (Lin) Guangzhong are all around, and the village roads connect thousands of households. There are two central primary schools, three village primary schools, one health center and four village health stations. Broadcasting, closed circuit, postal, telecommunication and mobile communication facilities are complete. Baoen temple, a key cultural relic at the provincial level, has a construction area of 26036 square meters. The ancient buildings are unique in flavor and grand in momentum, adding color to the light with a long history and full of vitality. In 2003, it was approved as a key cultural relics protection unit by the county and city.

The total industrial and agricultural output value of the township is 15.5 million yuan, including 5.195 million yuan of agricultural output value. The annual total grain output is 5360 tons, the total vegetable output is 734 tons, 6538 pigs are sold, and the per capita net income of farmers is 1703 yuan. The main industries of the township are sericulture, pig, pepper and labor export, and the economic pattern of "four industries" prospering the township is basically formed. Haijiao Association and dly pig association were established in the whole Township, and dly pig association was awarded by the county Party committee and the county government at the 2004 rural work meeting. By the end of 2004, the sown area of crops was 13926 mu, and the ratio of grain to economy was 6:4. The government also expanded the scale of sea pepper and live pig, bringing the industry of sea pepper and dly live pig to a new level.

Labor export in 2004, there were 4536 migrant workers in the township, with a total income of 30 million yuan. A total of 450000 yuan of capital was introduced in the whole year. There were three projects involving the construction of student accommodation buildings in two schools in the township, the expansion of dly pig scale and the hardening of farm streets.
