Shengquan Township

Shengquan Township, located in the southeast of Jingyan County, Sichuan Province, is 31 kilometers away from the county seat and 52 kilometers away from Leshan. It is at the junction of Liujia Town, Rongxian county. It is adjacent to Zhuyuan and Liujia in the East, Huangbo and Liujia in the south, Zhuyuan and Shiniu in the North and Sanjiang in the West. It is a typical shallow hilly area.

General situation

The township has four administrative villages, one community and 75 villager groups. The total population is 6359 (2017). The township covers an area of 25.24 square kilometers, with three dams, implementing the whole township; nine-year compulsory education conditions are perfect, with one middle school and one primary school; there is one rural credit cooperative, one central health center, and two standardized village clinics in the township; there is one new simple station, one community police room, and one township police room; in 2007, 25 kilometers of gravel pavement was reconstructed, and 152 water storage wells were built 16 Shanping ponds were renovated and 120 biogas digesters were built, which greatly improved the rural infrastructure. Shengquan township has good water source and strong light, which meets the requirements of pollution-free agricultural products production base. Leshan Hongchun Tea Co., Ltd., a municipal leading enterprise certified by QS, drives the development of tea planting area of 2200 mu (including 500 mu of famous tea) in the township by relying on the way of "company + farmers", so as to drive the development of one industry and enrich one people.

In 2005, 16100 pigs were sold, 72 new rabbit raising households were added, and 135000 meat rabbits were sold annually. The output of aquatic products reaches 210 tons. 600 sericulture hair seeds. The scale of forest and bamboo has been expanding continuously. In the whole year, 50000 bamboo trees were newly developed, and the forest coverage rate reached 40%; 200 mu of high-quality tangerine trees were newly developed, and 10000 bamboo trees were upgraded. The annual fruit output reached 10 million jin; 300 mu of tea trees were planted in the township, and 650000 high-quality famous teas were planted. The annual per capita net income was 3064 yuan. The bank deposits of the township reached 9.44 million yuan.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Leshan to adjust the administrative divisions of 8 counties (cities, districts) including Shizhong District, cancelled Shiniu Township and Shengquan Township, and put their administrative areas under the jurisdiction of Zhuyuan Town, whose people's government is located at 88 Shunhe street.
