Fengcheng town in Wenshui County, Wenshui is named after Wenyu River. history

The people of Wenshui have a glorious history of revolutionary struggle. Comrade Liu Hulan, a 16-year-old female Communist Party member, participated in revolutionary activities during the war of liberation. She was unyielding in front of the enemy's chopper and gave her precious life. Comrade Mao Zedong once wrote an inscription for her: "great life, glorious death". The memorial hall of martyr Liu Hulan is built in the village of Liu Hulan, 17 kilometers east of the county. It is a revolutionary memorial place to pay respect to, visit and educate young people. Nanxu village, four kilometers north of Nanxu County, is the hometown of the only female emperor Wu Zetian in China. During the reign of emperor Tianbao of Tang Dynasty, Wenshui County was ordered to build a statue of Wu Zetian in the north of Nanxu village and respect the "goddess of Zetian". The ancient temple still exists.

Geography

The county is high in the West and low in the East, which can be divided into plains, hills and mountains. The eastern plain is below 800 meters above sea level, with fertile soil, abundant water resources, convenient transportation and dense population.
