Maoqiao town

Maoqiao town is located in the southeast of Central District of Leshan City. It is the South Gate of Central District of Leshan City. It is also a provincial pilot town and a national key town. It covers an area of 30.6 square kilometers and has an altitude of 380 meters.

On December 13, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Leshan City to adjust the administrative divisions of 8 counties (cities, districts) including Shizhong District (cfzm [2019] No. 20): Jiulong Township and Yingyang Township were canceled, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Maoqiao town.
