Laojunjing Township
Laojunjing township of Jianyang City is located at the east foot of the middle section of Longquan Mountain range, 34 km away from Chengdu City in the north and 32 km away from Jianyang City in the south. Laojunjing township government is located in laojunchang, which is known as "laojunjing" because of the old Laojunmiao and 108 salt wells before liberation. The township governs 7 villages, 65 communities, 2099 households, with a total population of 6791 people, including 140 non-agricultural people, with a total area of 34 square kilometers and 5425 mu of cultivated land.
On November 15, 2014, the general plan of Sichuan Tianfu new area was approved and officially issued by the State Council, and laojunjing township is within the planning scope of Sichuan Tianfu new area. In December 2019, Chengdu Municipal People's government decided to abolish laojunjing township.
Historical evolution
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, laojunjing township was Laojun Township in the Second District of Jianyang county. In 1952, laojunjing township was divided into Datong Township and Yongle township. Later, it merged and changed its name many times. It was successively called Laojun Township, Laojun commune, Hongyan commune and Laojun Society. In 1983, it was renamed laojunjing township.

geographical environment
There are more than 10 peaks with an altitude of more than 700 meters and the highest altitude of 1059 meters. Economics

The scale of fruit industry was the main support for the economic development of the township. In 2007, the agricultural output value of the township was 25.42 million yuan, and the industrial output value of township was 10 million yuan The per capita net income of farmers is 4181 yuan, and the general budget is 161400 yuan.
Travel
In recent years, the township party committee and government have made full use of the location advantages close to the urban area of Chengdu, seized the great opportunity of "two lakes and one mountain" tourism development, actively explored the development of rural tourism, and made efforts to create new economic growth points. Cherry Blossom Festival and cherry Festival have been successfully held successively to boost the local economic development and increase the people's income. In 2007, through the construction of Cherry Valley Tourist Area in Jianyang City, 24 rural tourism attractions were built, and the tourism income of the whole township was nearly 3 million yuan.
