Ritong Township

Ritong township is located in the north central part of karuo District, Changdu City, in the Zhaqu River Basin, with an altitude of 3300 meters. It is surrounded by Ruyi Township, shagong Township, Chaiwei Township and Toba Township, covering an area of 560.08 square kilometers. It has 12 administrative villages and 54 natural villages (villagers' groups). The township is one of the old agricultural areas in Karo district. Because the well-known heirs of Tibetan medicine in Kang district are in this township, and the Tibetan medicine technology is excellent, the Ritong health center was established in 1972, the Ritong Tibetan Hospital was built in 1980, and the Ritong Tibetan medicine research and development center in Changdu was rebuilt in 1992.
