Old palace area
It got its name from the old yamen palace. In 1913, it was assigned to Daxing County. In 1949, it belonged to Nanyuan District of Beijing. Jiugong township was built in 1953. In 1956, Jiugong Township, Jixian Township, wudian Township and Nanchang Township were merged into Jiugong township. In 1958, the old palace brigade belonged to the Red Star commune of Daxing County. During this period, the farm was under the jurisdiction of the fruit tree team, pig farm, horse farm, Heyi, dapaozi, sanhaizi, rice team of beiniuchang, as well as the old palace brigade with more than 3000 mu of land in the southern suburb farm. The 4800 mu land of the former Jixian production team was occupied by dongyingfang and the Ministry of space. In October 1972, according to the spirit of the minutes of the Symposium on Beijing state owned farms, the old palace brigade was renamed the old palace branch. Some farm enterprises originally under the jurisdiction of the old palace brigade were assigned to the animal husbandry branch and the industrial branch.

Daxing District governs towns (districts). It is located in the north of the area. The town area is 29.73 square kilometers, including 10.1 square kilometers belonging to the southern suburb farm. The resident population was 128840 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 24 communities and 19 administrative villages (15 natural villages). The Office (town government) is located at 88 jiuzhong road. It is located in the flood alluvial plain of Yongding River, with low and flat landform, high in the north and low in the south, with an altitude of 32-35 meters. Liangshui River flows from northwest to southeast through the eastern part of the town, with a flow length of 3.5 km. Xiaolong river flows from west to East through the northern part of the town, with a flow length of 2 km. (North) Jingfu (prefecture) highway, the Fifth Ring Road transit. Historic sites include Nanyuan, old yamen palace, Deshou temple and other sites.

In October 1983, the Hongxing District Office was established within the scope of the original farm (commune), the township government was established in eight rural branches, and the administrative villages and village committees were established in each rural production brigade. In 1990, according to the notice of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on setting up sub district offices and established towns in some areas of the suburbs of Beijing, Jiugong township was abolished and Jiugong town was established, with the administrative region unchanged. In 1996, it covers an area of 13.5 square kilometers and has a population of 11000. It has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages including Jiugong No.1, Jiugong No.2, Jiugong No.3, Jiugong No.4, wudian No.1, wudian No.2, wudian No.3, Nanchang East, Nanchang West, Youyu village, Jiqing village, Wanju village, Longsheng Village, Dayou village, Nanxiao Street No.1, Nanxiao Street No.2, Nanxiao Street No.3, Nanxiao Street No.4, Xiguang Dezhuang and one neighborhood committee of Jiugong. In 1998, it was decoupled from Nanjiao farm and directly under the jurisdiction of Daxing County Government. In December 1999, Jiugong town took over five institutions under the former Hongxing District Working Committee, namely Hongxing office, Demao neighborhood committee, Hongxinglou neighborhood committee and environmental sanitation team. In 2002, it has jurisdiction over 11 natural villages, 19 administrative villages and 7 neighborhood committees, with a population of 8761 households and 22000 people, including 11500 agricultural population and 34200 migrant population. At the end of 2002, the town government was stationed at No. 88, jiugongzhong Road, with an area of 19.4 square kilometers and a population of 47000. It has jurisdiction over 15 communities including Hongxinglou, Demao, sifanchang, Qingyiyuan, qingxinyuan, qingheyuan, Shanglinyuan, Meiran, Demao Lou, hongxingbeili, Jiaheyuan, yulongjiayuan, Lingxiu villa and xuanyijiayuan, as well as 15 old palaces I, II, III, IV, I, II, II, II, II, II, III, II, II, II, II, II, II, III, II, II, III, II, II, III, II, III, III, III There are 19 administrative villages in wudian No.3, Nanchang East, Nanchang West, Jiqing village, Longsheng village, Wanju village, Youyu village, Dayou village, Nanjie No.1, Nanjie No.2, Nanjie No.3, Nanjie No.4 and xiguangde.
