Yongfa Township
Yongfa township is located in the southeast of Bayan County, Harbin city. The township government is 4 kilometers away from the county. The township is surrounded by Lincheng Township in the East, Longquan town in the west, Songhuajiang Township and Xiji town in the west, Bayan town in the southeast and Huashan Township across the Shaoling River in the north. The terrain of the township is rectangular, high in the East and low in the West. Wuyue River and Shaoling River pass through the village boundary.
The name of Yongfa comes from the name of Yongfa village. Originally under the jurisdiction of Songshan District of Bayan County. In March 1956, Yongfa village was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed Yongfa people's commune. In November of the same year, he joined wuyuehe commune (later renamed Songhuajiang commune). In April 1961, Yongfa commune was set up from Songhuajiang commune. In May 1969, eight production teams of Tiande Group were assigned to Lincheng commune, while five production teams of Minsheng group and Hefa group of Songhuajiang commune were assigned to Yongfa commune. In February 1984, the government and society were separated and changed into Yongfa township.
The total area of the township is 87.7 square kilometers, and the land use area is 131590 mu, including 99308 mu of cultivated land. The land is flat, except for nearly 30% of flood prone and hetaowa land, most of the land has the natural advantage of developing commodity economy.

Agricultural production is the main body of Yongfa rural economy. The crops are corn, soybean, sorghum, millet, wheat, flax, beet and so on. In 1981, the average yield of grain, soybean and potato per mu was 549 Jin, twice that of the early liberation period. The total yield was 42.1 million jin, and the agricultural income was 6.122 million yuan, accounting for 94.1% of the total income. The per capita income was 167.4 yuan. After 1983, due to the implementation of the agricultural production contract responsibility system, the emphasis on economic benefits, and the adjustment of the planting structure, in 1985, the agricultural income accounted for 68.1% of the total income, and the income from diversified operation accounted for 31.9% of the total income. The per capita income increased by 92 yuan compared with that in 1981.
