Shaomi town

Shaomi Town, newly established in 2012, belongs to Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province. It is located in the south of Shuicheng, in the balang River Basin. It is between 850-1750 meters above sea level, 104 degrees 53 minutes east longitude and 28 degrees 27 minutes north latitude, bordering Yushe Town, Yangmei Yi Miao Hui Township, Miluo Town, AGA town and other towns, with a total area of 115.92 square kilometers.

The town has 15 administrative villages, 81 democratic villages, 4406 households, 18646 people, and 11715 mu of arable land. The total social output value was 2008.68, with more than 300 kilograms of grain per capita. The territory has a mild climate and adapts to the growth of crops. It mainly produces corn, potato, rice, wheat, etc. Economic crops include tobacco, tea and fruit. The mineral resources include coal (the middle section of the south wing of the simudi coalfield), coalbed methane, marble, etc. There are 17 schools, including 8 primary schools, 8 regular schools and 1 private school.

Historical evolution

In 2012, the provincial government (qianfuhan No. 326) approved to abolish shaomi Yi and Miao Township and set up shaomi Town, with the town government stationed in Fanjiazhai village.

Honorary title

In July 2020, it was named "2017-2019 cycle National Health township" by the National Patriotic Health Association.
