Tieshanping street is located in the east of the main urban area of Chongqing, the middle of Jiangbei District, and the core area of Liangjiang New Area. Tangjiatuo was a famous water wharf on the Yangtze River in history. In April 1989, after the former Tangjiatuo street and Tangjiatuo Township People's government were merged, Tangjiatuo Town People's government was established. In 1941, with Dongliang River as the boundary, Tangjiatuo town belonged to 16 districts of Chongqing, and Hengxing Township belonged to the first district of Jiangbei County. In the early days of liberation, Hengxing township was separated from Jiangbei County and merged into Tangjiatuo township. In 1954, the urban part was set up as Tangjiatuo street, while the rural part was still Tangjiatuo township. After several renames, the basic pattern has not changed.
