On December 11, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Guang'an City (cfgm [2019] No. 16): the former Chaoyang Township and the former Jiulong Town yuhuangguan community, maliuqiao community, xinpingqiao community, Baita community, Xiangtangshan village, YAOGUANCHANG village, Jiepai village, changtansi village, wantashan village, yuxianqiao village, Huilonggou village, Dafengbao village Village, Changhe village, yanluoba village, Changpo village, baiheqiao village, Fenghuangshan village, chuanzhumiao village, Dashiwo village, Zhaojiahe village, hengshansi village, Jiudaoguai village, hujiayan village, shizipo village, huopenshan village, yangjiaomiao village, dujiaqiao village, sanhezhai village and lengjiaoqiao village belong to Chaoyang Street. Chaoyang Street office is located at 694 Jiulong street.

Historical evolution

Chaoyang was subordinate to the South Town of Yuechi before liberation, and to the first district, suburb and Jiulong District of Yuechi after liberation; it was renamed friendship commune during the cultural revolution. In July 1992, after the township was withdrawn and merged with the town, it was subordinate to Qiaojia town; in July 1994, when the system was improved, it became a separate township. On December 11, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Chaoyang Township and Jiulong Town were abolished and Chaoyang Street was established.

Chaoyang Street is located in the south of Yuechi County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province. It is adjacent to Jiulong street in the north, Jiulong street and Shiya town in the East, Qiaojia town in the south, wudrainage reservoir in the west, and Sanxi Town, Xinchang Town and Jiulong street in wusheng County. Before liberation, the Township Office was located at Sanwang Temple (now community 2 of xiaojiadian Village). At the beginning of liberation, the Township Office was established in dongjiayuanzi People's Government (now four communities in qinjiadian Village), later moved to xiaojiadian, and then moved to qinjiadian. The terrain is high in the East and low in the West.

The former Chaoyang Township covers an area of 18 square kilometers, governs 12 administrative villages and 93 communities, with a total population of 14632 at the end of 2001, including 14454 agricultural population, 11027 mu of arable land, and more than 7741 tons of grain output. It is mainly rich in rice, corn and sweet potato. Net cage fish farming accounts for one third of the sales of Yuechi County. It produces more than 300000 kilograms of finished fish every year, and the production of edge fish accounts for half of the sales of Yuechi County above.
