Shuangwang town

Shuangwang town is a town under the jurisdiction of Bobai County, Yulin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the south of Bobai County, adjacent to NaBu town and Shapi town in the East, Longtan town in the south, Songwang town in the west, Dadong town in the north and 77 km away from the county seat.

Shuangwang town governs 1 community of Shuangwang street and 7 villages of Hanhe, Bangjie, Baiping, Datong, Zeng village, naqing and Zhouwang, with a population of 37800. The town people's government is located at No. 048, Minzhu 1st Road, Shuangwang street community.

History of construction

Shuangwang township was established in 1933, belonging to Longtan District of Bobai County, and the Fourth District of Bobai County in 1949. In 1950, it merged with Songshan township as the 13th District of Bobai County. In 1955, it belonged to Songshan District. In January 1958, Shuangwang township was set up in Songshan District. In August, Songshan commune was set up with Songshan township. Shuangwang commune was established from Songshan commune in 1961 and merged into Songshan District in 1962. In 1968, it belonged to Songshan commune. In 1984, it belonged to Songshan township. In 1986, Shuangwang township was established from Songshan township. It was changed into Shuangwang town in 1996. It got its name from its location.

Shuangwang street was set up near wangnitang village in 1913. In 1958, the street was moved to the right side of Maoping village. At that time, the place belonged to Zhouwang district (today's Zhouwang Village). Because both wangnitang and Zhouwang contained Wang, it was named Shuangwang.

From 2004 to 2008, the economic indicators of Shuangwang town were over fulfilled. In 2008, the financial revenue of the whole town was 2.309 million yuan, accounting for 109.8% of the task. The total agricultural output value was 182 million yuan, up 5% year-on-year. There were four new projects, accounting for 100% of the task. The per capita net income of farmers was 3850 yuan, up 14% year-on-year.

Shuangwang town is rich in mineral resources. The kaolin from Zhouwang and Bangjie villages is the most suitable for firing high-quality and exquisite high-grade porcelain, which is favored by manufacturers inside and outside the area. Shida, Jinhu and other small reservoirs are built in the area. The mainstream of Najiao River (middle reaches of Longtan River), fengshu River (Yaohe River, also known as Hutou River), and Shuangwang River (also known as Changtian River), a tributary of Najiao River, run through the territory. The drainage area is more than 30 square kilometers, and the domestic and production electricity can meet the demand. The town has 1268 hectares of arable land, including 1008 hectares of paddy field and 260 hectares of dry land. In 2012, the GDP of Shuangwang town was 2.44 billion yuan, the fiscal revenue was 4.82 million yuan, the industrial investment was 147 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 6120 yuan. In 2008, the road from Bangjie village to longbi village was 3.5 km, the road from Datong village to tianmian village of Longtan town was 7 km, and the road from Zhouwang village to Manggeng village was 9 km. By 2008, the goal of village to village road was achieved.
